Baroque Works is poised to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the real showdown isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has recently been selected.

The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. Bon Clay can use their power to morph into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a version of that character reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action series, as in the original manga and animated series.

This performer is joined by several other fresh additions tasked with bringing the group to the screen, including leader Sir Crocodile, played by the well-known actor, an emerging star as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the lineup as the monarch of Alabasta.

Though this character is a important part of the organization, the individual will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this represents a notable change in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could suggest further changes to the plot development.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the character. Along with their current animated role in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.

The platform’s adapted One Piece program is set to return for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
